Just got back from the pond fishing with the buddies. I was able to land this on the P.D. Chopper + Ammonite Shad Combo. I must say, when they hit this combination, they hit it HARD. Try it out!

Right on! I use jig combos a lot and swear by them for big ol bucketmouths. That is a sweet fish indeed. Well done.
ReplyDeleteThanks, yeah they've been crushing them at the city ponds like no other! Even the smaller fish are chewing on them!
ReplyDeleteHey Ariel. I was wondering what methodology you embrace for discerning color combinations for your swim-jigs / trailers. I noticed on your Chopper there that the skirt color is rather distinct from the color of the Ammonite trailer.
ReplyDeleteI actually thought that this color combination wouldn't work well. I started off with a shad color jig but lost it on a fire pit in the lake. But I usually go light with light, and dark with dark. This was the best jig that represented my choice.
